CDM Graduates Continue Their Academic Careers Abroad

Good news continue to come from our graduates. Muhammed Oncu, who graduated from Izmir University Economics (IUE), Faculty of Communication, Department of Cinema and Digital Media in the 2018-2019 academic year, as a high honour student, and Ali Sami Dogan, who graduated as the highest ranked student from CDM in the 2019-2020 academic year, are accepted to graduate programs from top-ranking universities abroad.

Our graduate Muhammed Oncu, who went to the United States to continue his academic career last year, continues to the New School Sociology MA Program with a scholarship, while Ali Sami Dogan, one of our 2020 graduates, was accepted to the Human Resource Management Program at University College Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.

Ali Sami was accepted to University College Dublin, which is one of the best 100 universities in Europe, with a merit-based scholarship, also selected as Student Ambassador by the university and continues to work. Muhammed is pursuing his MA degree in Sociology at the New School for Social Research. He is also working as a Research Assistant at the Film Office in Media Studies in The New School, one of the leading academic place in the field of social sciences. Muhammed stating that his goal since his freshman year was to proceed in the academic field. He says that his professors at the IEU, Dr. Ozge Ozduzen and especially Dr. Aras Ozgun encouraged him to pursue an academic career abroad. He also adds that the English education, technical skills and intellectual formation that he advanced at Izmir University of Economics contributed to his academic life and these had a great impact on his being a research assistant at The New School.
