Foça Film Days Visited CDM 232
As part of Best of Foça Film Days 2025, the documentaries "Artifakt Savaşı" and "İpek Gibi Gökyüzü, Portakallarla Dolu," featured in the Foça Film Days selection, were screened at the Department of Cinema and Digital Media at Izmir University of Economics.
The event was organized within the scope of CDM 232: Digital Film Studio II, taught by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Gürata and Prof. Dr. Dilek Kaya. Following the screenings, students who worked on documentary film projects throughout the semester came together with Foça Film Days Artistic Director Deborah Semel Demirtaş and festival volunteer Belgin Herişçakar.
During the talk, the screened films were discussed, along with documentary filmmaking processes, festival circulation, and different forms of documentary storytelling.
We were pleased to host Foça Film Days in our department. The event provided students with the opportunity to engage directly with contemporary documentary works and festival experience.
