The festival journey of Cinema and Digital Media lecturer Dr. Hazal Bayar and alumni Çağıl Saydam's film Everything Unnerves Me continues.
Everything Unnerves Me offers an experimental look at the nervous breakdowns a woman experiences through her unconscious mind. The film has written by Hazal Bayar, and shot by Çağıl Saydam. CDM graduate Sezi Süer also participated in the film as the main character and third-year CDM student Fikret Başar Kaya as the assistant director.
After the premiere at İzmir Karaca Cinema, the festival journey of the film started with the Seattle Turkish Film Festival. Chosen among the 11 finalist films at STFF, Everything Unnerves me, was later selected as a finalist in the experimental category of the International Izmir Short Film Festival. In addition to these festivals, the film was selected for competition at the Stuff MX Film Festival Short Horror section held in Mexico, Be Afraid Horror Fest held in Italy and Black Cat Award International Film Festival held in Bolivia. Film was also awarded an Honorable Mention at the Monster Pool Horror Festival held in Ottawa/Canada.
