As part of 23rd İzmir Europe Jazz Festival, a "Live Video Performance Workshop" by Cinema and Digital Media Department will be held on the dates March 3-4-5, between 10:00 - 13:00 and 15:00 - 18:00 in collaboration with IKSEV.
Cinema and Digital Media Department Lecturer Aras Özgün's work will be exhibited at SALT Galata between the dates December 23 - February 21 2016. Aras Özgün's video and photography works can be viewed under the name of "Apricots from Damascus" which is an ApexART (New York) franchise exhibition in collaboration with SALT (İstanbul).
Türker Körük's photo 'İçkin', that he shot in Basmane, will be exhibited in Young Photographers Awards Exhibition with the association of The American Turkish Society, in İstanbul Mixer Gallery. The exhibition will be held between the dates 22nd of December - 5th of January and the reception will be on 25th of December.
Five of our student projects are screened at Short Film Week which is organized by Ege University Community of Communication Studies between the dates 16th - 20th of November.
German producer Georg Zeller visits Cinema and Digital Media students for a production workshop between the dates 16th - 25th of November. Zeller, who worked as a producer and director of photography for numerous award winning documentary and film projects, also gave lectures on producing and directing in ZeLIG School for Documentary, Italy. He was a student of Harun Farocki at Berlin University of Arts.
'Dip', written and directed by Serhan Çiner, will be screened at Türkan Saylan Art Center on 17th of November, at 15:00 within the schedule of 16th International Izmir Short Film Festival.

Visual Display of Data and Information
The aim of this workshop is to introduce the basic notions and processes of data visualization and allowing participants to explore various approaches by programming. Participants will experience a basic workflow to visualize vast amount of data to create an infographic on a given or chosen phenomenon. Targeted output of the workshop might be high resolution print or screen based animated or interactive graphics.
Munich Film School cinematography lecturar German cinematographer Stephan Vorbrugg, practiced a film-making workshop with Cinema and Digital Media department students.
